Subs are collected at the beginning of term in January, April and September, and are currently at £30 per term per cub.

This money covers:-

  • Annual fees to District, County and National bodies for insurance and leader training. Unfortunately, the group doesn’t get to see a penny of this money
  • A small amount of the subs are kept by the group to cover running costs such as electric and water bills and the purchasing of equipment
  • Badges
  • Equipment needed for Pack meetings

Making Payments
We would be grateful if any payments, whether they be by cash or cheque, are placed in a sealed envelope with details of what the payment is for, and who it is from, on the front of the envelope. Please make cheques payable to Ide Hill Scout Group.

Gift Aid
Gift Aid is the Government scheme that enables charities to claim tax on donations made by tax-paying adults, and your subscriptions are defined as donations, meaning we can claim 28p for every pound you pay in subs.

Your income is not affected in any way because we are claiming a small amount or your tax back from the Inland Revenue.
