The Ide Hill Scout Group (16th Sevenoaks) is located in the village of Ide Hill, about five miles south-west of Sevenoaks, Kent. We provide fun, exciting, adventurous, challenging, and educational activities for 6-14 year old girls and boys.
Our leaders are all volunteers, and are fully trained to make Scouting fun, exciting and challenging, but also safe.
The Ide Hill Scout Group provides fun, exciting, adventurous, challenging, and educational activities for 6-14 year old girls and boys. Most of our members live in Ide Hill or surrounding villages including Brasted, Sundridge, Four Elms, Chiddingstone and Hever.
The Ide Hill Scout Group is run by volunteers who give up some of their time to benefit the local community by helping young people to grow up to be self reliant, caring, responsible and committed.
There are three sections in the Ide Hill Scout Group
- Beaver Colony , for girls and boys aged six to eight.
Mondays from 4:30 – 5:45
- Two Cub packs, for girls and boys aged eight to ten and a half.
Mondays and Tuesday night from 6:30 – 8pm
- Two Scouts troops, for girls and boys aged ten and a half to fourteen.
Wednesdays and Thursdays 7:30 – 9
We meet in our purpose built Scout Hut in the village of Ide Hill. It is located in the recreation field behind the only pub in the village.

This Scout Group depends on Parental support to continue to provide quality Scouting to the 85 young people in the Group. All the adults involved are volunteers and give their time freely. Although there are around 15 Leaders, Assistant Leaders and regular Helpers, new parents to volunteer and help with the Group.
Anyone interested in becoming a leader or a helper on a regular or occasional basis, please contact Dudley Barrow. No previous experience is necessary, as training will be provided. There is no payment for being a leader, but you can expect lots of fun and adventure and to make many friends.
